Overview
The Rock Creek project, operated by Hecla Mining Company, is currently on hold due to legal and regulatory challenges. Hecla has withdrawn its Plan of Operations and is not actively seeking permits for construction. A U.S. District Court invalidated the USFS's approval in 2021, citing Endangered Species Act violations, meaning the mine lacks federal authorization to proceed.

Metallurgical recovery for gold and silver was reported at 85% as of 31 December 2025. Earlier reports from 2022 and 2024 noted metallurgical recovery for both gold and silver at 90%.
Expansion
Hecla Mining Company has designated its Nevada portfolio, which includes Monte Cristo, as a high-impact development project that accounts for 22% of the exploration budget. The project is situated on a six-mile mineralised trend with multiple targets that have shown greater than 0.1 oz/ton gold and greater than 5 oz/ton silver in drilling. Rock chip sampling in untested areas has yielded up to 0.46 oz/ton gold and 2.5 oz/ton silver. The company's strategy involves the systematic advancement of targets to a drill-ready status through detailed mapping, geochemistry, and the generation of cross-sections. The inferred resource at Monte Cristo is reported based on a minimum mining width of 5.0 feet and a 0.094 oz/ton gold cut-off grade as of 31 December 2025.

Overview
The Fire Creek mine, operated by Hecla Mining Company, was placed on care and maintenance in the second quarter of 2021 after the processing of the remaining non-refractory ore stockpile was completed. The mine is part of Hecla's Nevada Operations. Hecla Mining is conducting a strategic review of its Nevada portfolio in 2025 to re-rank priorities. A restart of mining operations is contingent upon sufficient exploration success and development. The company notes that 90% of the Fire Creek district remains unexplored with modern techniques, suggesting significant untested potential.

Production overview - 2023: silver 3.1 Moz.
Processing
The mine has a surface facility with a mill that can process 1,000 tons of ore per day. It produces silver-lead and zinc concentrates, which are transported by truck to a smelter in Trail, British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment
The primary mining method is the Underhand Closed Bench (UCB) technique. The mine also utilizes underhand and overhand cut-and-fill methods with cemented tailings for backfill. Access to the underground workings is through the Silver Shaft, which is 6,205 feet deep. The #4 Shaft reaches 9,600 feet below the surface. The mine uses rubber-tired, diesel-powered mobile equipment.
Expansion
Completion and operation of the #4 Shaft provides access to the high-grade Gold Hunter/Lucky Friday Expansion Area. In 2024, exploration drilling is planned to the east of the 30 Vein. Capital investment is focused on underground development, a new tailings facility, and a surface cooling project expected to be completed by mid-2026.

Processing
The mine's ore concentrating mill processes approximately 2,300 tons of ore per day using a SAG/ball mill grinding circuit, followed by flotation and gravity processes. Three concentrates are produced: a silver concentrate, a zinc concentrate, and a zinc-rich precious metals concentrate. In 2024, 46% of the mill tailings were reused as backfill in the underground mine.
Expansion
In November 2024, the U.S. Forest Service approved an extension of the mine's production for 12 to 18 years. This includes a phased expansion of the tailings disposal facility. In January 2025, a five-year plan for a surface exploration project was also approved. Copper became a payable metal for the mine in 2024, creating a new revenue stream. Capital investment in 2026 is expected to be higher, partly for the expansion of the tailings facility, which is designed to increase capacity to 2045.

It is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Lualaba Province, adjacent to the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. The project consists of a licence package covering 2,393 square kilometres. Ivanhoe Mines is exploring for new sedimentary copper discoveries and defining its existing high-grade discoveries of Makoko, Kiala, and Kitoko. The mineralisation is flat-lying and sedimentary-hosted, geologically similar to the Kamoa and Kakula orebodies. Mineralisation depth from the surface ranges from 200 metres to as deep as 1,250 metres.
Equipment
exploration activities, up to 11 drilling rigs, 102,000 metres of diamond drilling and 18,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling planned for 2025, over 80,000 metres of diamond drilling completed in 2024. Infrastructure includes over 105 kilometres of new and refurbished all-season access roads and bridges, and new camp facilities.

Overview
The mine's status has changed from 'under development' to 'Active'. The Phase 1 concentrator began operations and produced its first batch of platinum-palladium-nickel-rhodium-gold-copper concentrate on November 18, 2025. The first sale of concentrate was made to Northam Platinum in the fourth quarter of 2025. The concentrator is currently processing lower-grade development ore and is expected to ramp up to 80% of its nameplate capacity by mid-2026, following the commissioning of Shaft #3.
Production
770,000 tonnes per annum milling capacity
Processing
The Phase 1 concentrator has a milling capacity of 770,000 tonnes per annum. The mine will produce a polymetallic concentrate containing platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, nickel, and copper.
Equipment
Underground mining is conducted via shaft access. Shaft #3 is scheduled to be ready for hoisting in April 2026, which will increase the mine's total hoisting capacity to approximately 5 million tonnes per annum.
Expansion
The mine is being developed through a phased approach. Phase 1: Currently in operation with a 770 ktpa concentrator. Phase 2: Development is underway to expand processing capacity to 4.1 million tonnes per annum, targeting completion in Q4 2027. This phase is expected to increase annual production to approximately 450,000 ounces of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold (3PE+Au), plus over 30 million pounds of nickel and copper. Phase 3: A preliminary economic assessment covers a potential further expansion to 10.7 Mtpa of processing capacity, which would double the annualised 3PE+Au production to over 1 million ounces.

Overview
The Republic mine, located in Ferry County, Washington, is a former gold and silver producer which is now categorised by Hecla Mining Company as an exploration project. Hecla's exploration strategy notes that the Republic area was Washington's largest historic gold producer and represents an emerging opportunity. The company holds 3,583 acres covering major productive trends and sees potential for discoveries concealed by post-mineral cover. For 2025, 1% of Hecla's exploration budget is allocated to the Republic project. The Washington State Department of Ecology lists the site, referred to as the Hecla Knob Hill Mine, as "Awaiting Cleanup". Hecla is continuing long-term mine water management and treatment activities at the site. Production at the mine, which was acquired by Hecla in 1981, ceased in 1995.
