The Eagle River Complex is operated by Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. and is located 50 kilometres west of Wawa, Ontario, Canada, within the Mishibishu greenstone belt. The complex consists of the Eagle River Underground Mine and the Mishi Open Pit Mine. The Eagle River mine is an active, producing underground operation, while the Mishi open pit was mined out in 2021.
Production
In 2025, the Eagle River Complex produced 112,767 ounces of gold. The guidance for 2026 projects gold production to be between 105,000 and 115,000 ounces. For the full year 2025, 257,447 tonnes of ore were milled at a head grade of 14.1 grams per tonne.
Processing
Ore from the mine is processed on-site. The processing method involves crushing, grinding, and flotation to produce gold doré bars. The mill has a permitted capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day.

The Mishi Open Pit, also referred to as the Mishi Mine, is located in the province of Ontario, Canada, approximately 50 kilometres west of Wawa. It is a gold commodity mine. The mine is part of Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd.'s Eagle River Complex.
Production
From 2002 to 2012, the pit yielded 20,351 ounces of gold from 200,410 tonnes of ore at a grade of 3.2 grams of gold per tonne. From 2002 to 2019, the mine produced 59,700 ounces of gold from 831,000 tonnes at a grade of 2.2 g/t Au. In 2022, 23,153 tonnes were milled at a head grade of 3.2 g/t. In 2023, 6,150 tonnes were milled at a head grade of 2.3 g/t.
Processing
Ore from the Mishi pit was processed at a central mill located adjacent to the mine. This central processing facility has a permitted capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day. The processing method involves crushing, grinding, and flotation to produce gold doré bars.

Processing
Ore from the Eagle River Mine is processed at the Eagle River Mill, located 17 kilometres by road from the mine. The mill has a permitted capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day. The processing method employed is the Merrill-Crowe zinc precipitation process. The circuit includes a gravity component, utilizing a Knelson Concentrator, which recovers about 40% of the gold. The ore is considered free of deleterious elements, contributing to historic recoveries of over 96%. The final product is doré bars, which are shipped to the Royal Canadian Mint for final refining.
Equipment
