Workforce
43 employees at mine site (as of 31 December 2025)
Overview
The Hycroft Mine, located in northern Nevada, discontinued active mining in November 2021 and completed ore processing by December 2022. Currently in an exploration stage, the company is conducting technical studies for a transition to a milling operation for sulphide ore, evaluating POX and roasting processes, and performing in-fill drilling for a potential heap leach restart. A 2025-2026 drill program is underway to expand high-grade silver systems at Brimstone and Vortex zones.
Processing
Existing infrastructure includes three-stage crushing facilities, leach pad capacity, and two Merrill Crowe plants with a refinery. The company is also studying pressure oxidation (POX) and roasting processes for sulphide ore.
Equipment

Expansion
Technical studies are underway to transition to a milling operation for processing sulphide ore, including trade-off analysis for pressure oxidation (POX) and roasting processes. In-fill drilling is being completed to evaluate a potential restart of heap leach operations for oxide material. A 2025-2026 Drill Program is underway to expand high-grade silver systems at the Brimstone and Vortex zones.

Kwinana Lithium Hydroxide Refinery

Western Australia, Australia · Processing Facility

Operating
Lithium
Opened
2022-11-30
Overview
The refinery's Train 1 has been operating well below its nameplate capacity. IGO has expressed low confidence in the asset's ability to achieve sustained, meaningful improvement. In January 2025, the joint venture partners agreed to cease all work and activities on the second processing train, Lithium Hydroxide Plant 2 (LHP2). IGO has fully impaired its investment in the Kwinana refinery, writing its value down to zero. However, Tianqi Lithium has stated it has no plans to suspend operations at the refinery, viewing it as an important part of its international strategy.
Production
lithium: 6782 t
Processing
The refinery is designed to process spodumene concentrate from the Greenbushes lithium mine. The facility is one of the first fully automated battery-grade lithium hydroxide facilities globally. The process involves converting the spodumene concentrate into battery-grade lithium hydroxide. Train 1 has a nameplate capacity of 24,000 tonnes per annum.

Overview
The Greenbushes mine is owned and operated by Talison Lithium Pty Ltd, a joint venture between Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia Pty Ltd (51%) and Albemarle Corporation (49%). IGO Limited holds an indirect interest of 24.99% through its 49% stake in Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia Pty Ltd.
Production
lithium: 1.48 Mt
Processing
The operation has four processing plants: Chemical Grade Plant 1 (CGP1), Chemical Grade Plant 2 (CGP2), a Tailings Retreatment Plant (TRP), and a Technical Grade Plant (TGP). The commissioning of Chemical Grade Plant 3 (CGP3) commenced in December 2025, with a capacity of approximately 500,000 tonnes per annum of spodumene concentrate, increasing the total site capacity to around 2.1 million tonnes per annum. The processing method involves gravity, heavy media separation, flotation, and magnetic processes.
Expansion
A significant expansion is underway. Chemical Grade Plant 3 (CGP3) began commissioning in December 2025, with an estimated project cost of approximately A$880 million. There are proposals to expand the mine to the east and south, including additional waste rock landforms and expanded water storage capacity, increasing the development envelope by 619 hectares to 2,826 hectares. A potential fourth chemical grade plant (CGP4) is also being considered. An underground Mineral Resource Estimate has been defined, suggesting future underground mining potential.

Care And Maintenance
Nickel
Workforce
The transition to care and maintenance has impacted the workforce, with IGO undertaking a resourcing plan that included some redundancies and potential redeployment opportunities. The exact size of the current workforce has not been specified.
Overview
The Cosmos Project is situated 30 kilometres north of Leinster in Western Australia. As of 31 May 2024, the project transitioned into care and maintenance due to a reduced expected life of mine, production delays, increased costs, and deteriorating nickel prices. IGO aims to restart operations if market conditions improve and will evaluate exploration programs.
Production
nickel: 1734 t
Processing
The Cosmos processing plant was undergoing an upgrade to increase its throughput capacity, initially from 450,000 tonnes per annum to 900,000 tonnes per annum, and then to 1.1 million tonnes per annum. The upgraded circuit includes new primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing and screening, a new primary mill, refurbished secondary and regrind mills, and new and refurbished flotation and thickening circuits. Commissioning of the plant commenced in October 2023.

Mine life
50 years
Workforce
Approximately 140 people.
Production
coal: 2744285 t
Processing
The processing involves crushing the coal to a 6-inch minus size before it is loaded into a silo. The coal is then transported from a loadout facility to the power station via a privately owned railway.
Equipment
The mine utilises two Bucyrus Erie 2570-W draglines for removing overburden. The exposed coal is then handled by 993 loaders and Triple 7 coal haulers. The equipment fleet also includes four Cat D10T and one Cat D9T dozers for spoil levelling, dragline pad preparation, road construction, drainage ditches, cleaning coal, and ripping overburden.
Expansion
In January 2025, the Government of Saskatchewan announced it was considering extending the life of the Poplar River Generating Station, which would in turn extend the life of the mine.

Expansion
A 59-megawatt solar farm and a 34-megawatt battery energy storage system, known as the Mannix Mine Solar & Battery Energy Storage System Project, has been proposed for the reclaimed mine site. The Alberta Utilities Commission approved the applications to construct and operate the project in April 2025. Construction is estimated to start in the third quarter of 2025, with commercial operation planned for the third quarter of 2026. The BIOSALIX project, a clean technology demonstration, is using municipal organic waste from Edmonton to replenish soil at the mine site to grow willow that can be used as a biomass feedstock for renewable energy.

Overview
Surface coal mining operations at the Genesee Mine concluded in December 2023. The site has now transitioned to focus on reclamation, final decommissioning, and closure activities. A portion of the site will remain active for the extraction of fly ash. The cessation of mining operations coincided with the conversion of the associated Genesee Generating Station to natural gas, which was completed in June 2024. Subbituminous coal production in Alberta effectively ended with the decommissioning of the Genesee mine in June 2024. Reclamation activities are underway, with a final Decommissioning and Land Reclamation Plan to be submitted to the Alberta Energy Regulator. The objectives of the reclamation are to protect the watershed, re-establish agricultural lands, and create wildlife habitat.
