Overview
The Pumpkin Hollow Project is located near Yerington in Lyon County, Nevada, USA. It is a high-grade iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) deposit, comprising Eastern Area (underground) and Western Area (open-pit) deposits. As of late 2025, Kinterra Capital is advancing the restart of the underground mine and progressing the adjacent Southwest Open Pit project towards construction readiness.
Production
The underground mine was designed to produce 5,000 short tons per day. The first phase of open-pit development has a capacity of 37,000 short tons per day, expanding to 70,000 in the second phase. In 2023, the mine produced over 27,000 tons of copper concentrate.
Processing
Underground ore processing involves a concentrator designed to process 5,000 short tonnes per day, using a primary jaw crusher, SAG mill, ball mill, and rougher/cleaner flotation units to produce concentrate. Expected recovery rates are 92% for copper, 78% for gold, and 70% for silver. The open-pit processing plan includes a throughput concentrator in the first phase, with a second phase to add a milling and flotation circuit.

Phase I, with production planned to start in 2030, is expected to produce between 15,000 and 20,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) annually. Phase II is planned to begin by 2033, increasing the total output to 55,000 tonnes of LCE per year. An earlier 2022 definitive feasibility study for stage one had estimated production of 15,200 tonnes of battery-grade lithium a year.
Processing
The project is planned to be developed in two phases. Phase I will use conventional evaporation pond techniques. Phase II will implement direct lithium extraction (DLE) technologies. Initial plans for stage one included a brine production wellfield with 19 production wells.
Expansion
Under the new joint venture, Rio Tinto has committed to invest up to US$900 million. In February 2026, Codelco submitted a US$50 million project to the environmental authority for further hydrogeological studies and brine reinjection tests.

Overview
The Tererro Copper-Gold-Zinc VMS Project is located approximately 120 kilometres north-east of Albuquerque in New Mexico. The project is currently in the exploration and permitting phase. An application for a regular exploration permit (SF040ER) was submitted to the New Mexico Mining and Minerals Division (MMD) in May 2019, and the permitting process is ongoing. The United States Forest Service determined that an Environmental Assessment will be required to review the Plan of Operations. The issuance of this Environmental Assessment was delayed in 2022 due to fires and post-fire recovery efforts in the region.

Overview
The Javelin VMS Project is an early-stage exploration project operated by Australian mining company New World Resources. The project's status is currently "exploration," a revision from the previously listed "feasibility." In January 2024, New World Resources commenced an initial diamond core drilling program at the project to test the Discus Copper Prospect. The project consists of a contiguous series of 100%-owned mining claims covering approximately 5,000 acres. It is located about 75 kilometres south-east of New World Resources' Antler Copper Deposit, near the Bagdad porphyry copper mine. The company is exploring the potential for the Javelin project to serve as a satellite source of ore, which could be transported to a future processing facility at the Antler Project.

Overview
Development activity at the Reko Diq project has slowed, with Barrick extending a project review until mid-2027 due to escalating security risks. This review will assess security, capital, financing, scope, and timeline, potentially increasing budgets and delaying the first production target of late 2028.
Production
The project is not yet in production. Initial estimates for the first years of operation are for the production of 200,000 tonnes of copper and 250,000 ounces of gold annually. Another estimate suggests annual production of 200-250 kilotonnes of copper.
Processing
The operation will produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate. Development is planned in two phases. Phase 1 is planned to process 45 million tonnes of ore per annum (mtpa). Phase 2, planned from 2034, is expected to double the processing capacity to a combined 90 mtpa.

Overview
The mine consists of two open pits, Malundwe and Chimiwungo. The reopening of the Malundwe pit was underway in 2023. Barrick is developing a new regional airstrip, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The expansion will also drive the development of the Manyama township and an industrial supplier park.

Ore is treated through a conventional sulphide flotation plant to produce copper concentrate.
Equipment
Conventional truck and shovel operation. Truck fleet transitioning from Hitachi EH4500 to 30 new trucks (Komatsu 930E-5, Hitachi EH5000). Shovel fleet updated to three Komatsu PC8000 and three Komatsu PC7000 shovels. Plan to transition to cable electric-powered shovels by 2031. Mine design for expansion includes in-pit crushing and conveying.
Expansion
A "Super Pit Expansion Project" is underway with a capital cost of nearly US$2 billion. The project aims to merge the Chimiwungo and Malundwe pits into a single large pit and develop two new satellite pits at Kamisengo and Kababisa. The expansion is designed to double the annual copper production to an average of 240,000 tonnes. The processing plant capacity will be increased to a target of 52 million tonnes per year, with a peak design of 54 million tonnes. Construction to begin in 2025 with expanded production anticipated in 2028.

Processing
The mine utilises a valley-fill heap leaching process. Crushed ore is hauled by trucks to the Valley Leach Facility. Gold and silver are recovered from the pregnant leach solution.

Expansion
The Phase 7 leach pad was completed in December 2024. Construction of the Phase 8 leach pad began in the first quarter of 2025 and is divided into three stages- 8A, 8B, and 8C- with completion estimated for early 2026. The total estimated capital expenditure for this phase is between US$250-US$270 million. A new Phase 9 has also been announced. The Argentinian government has approved the inclusion of the Veladero expansion initiative into the incentive regime for large investments (RIGI). A US$400 million investment is proposed for the 2025-2028 period to construct new mining phases, which will add 89.2 million tonnes of capacity. The expansion is projected to add an additional 1.6 million ounces of gold production over the mine's life.

Overview
The Porgera mine, located in Enga Province, Papua New Guinea, is an open pit and underground gold and silver operation. It restarted operations on December 22, 2023, under a new 20-year Special Mining Lease (SML 13) and a new ownership structure, with Barrick Gold Corporation holding an indirect 24.5% interest. The first gold pour since the restart was expected in Q1 2024.

Processing
The processing plant has a capacity of approximately 6 million tonnes per year. The process involves crushing and grinding, followed by flotation to recover a sulphide concentrate. This concentrate is then treated with pressure oxidation and a conventional carbon-in-pulp (CIP) cyanide leaching circuit to recover gold. The plant also includes a gravity recovery circuit.
Equipment
The open pit mining fleet has included O&K RH200 shovels and Caterpillar 789 haul trucks. In early 2025, an order was placed for seven new Sandvik surface drill rigs, including four DR410i rotary blasthole drills and three Leopard™ DI650i down-the-hole drills, to replace an aging fleet.
Expansion
The Porgera mine was placed on care and maintenance in April 2020. Following negotiations, a new agreement was reached, and the mine officially restarted operations on 22 December 2023. A New Porgera Progress Agreement (NPPA) was signed in early 2023, confirming the commitment of all parties to reopen the mine. The new ownership structure is designed to provide a greater share of the economic benefits to PNG stakeholders, who are expected to receive 53% of the overall economic benefits over the life of the mine.
