End year
2044
Mine life
20 years
Workforce
Approximately 300 to 350 people are expected to be employed once the mine is operational. A 2017 technical report estimated 330 direct full-time jobs during operations.
Overview
The Prairie Creek Mine is a high-grade, advanced-stage development project. The site has significant existing infrastructure, including a 1,000 t/d mill and over 5 km of underground workings from development in the early 1980s, though the mine never entered production.
Production
The mine is not yet in production. The company planned to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to financing and the completion of an all-season road. The 2021 PEA projects average annual payable zinc equivalent production of 261 million pounds.
Processing
The process flow-sheet involves crushing, dense media separation (DMS), grinding, and sequential flotation to produce zinc sulphide, lead sulphide, and lead oxide concentrates. A 2021 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) is based on a throughput rate of 2,400 tonnes per day. Tailings from the mill will be used to create paste backfill, which will be placed permanently underground.
Equipment
significant existing infrastructure, including a 1,000 t/d mill and over 5 km of underground workings
Expansion
Development of a 170 km all-season access road (ASR) is critical for the project; Phase 1, a Pioneer Winter Road, was completed in April 2023. Phase 2 construction was planned to commence in 2024. As of mid-2025 reports, the company was finalising the ASR design and updating its feasibility study while addressing regulator feedback.

CopperGoldSilver
Opened
1997-01-01
End year
2033
Workforce
As of July 2024, the mine had 343 employees. A community update in the second quarter of 2022 stated the mine would employ approximately 355 people for full-scale operations.
Overview
The mill first commenced operations in 1997. After being placed on care and maintenance in 2019, operations at Mount Polley recommenced in July 2022. In August 2025, the British Columbia government approved a permit for an expansion involving the deepening of the Springer pit and the enlargement of rock-disposal areas. This expansion extends the mine's life to 2033. Mining of the Phase 4 pushback in the Springer Pit was scheduled for completion in February 2026, with the majority of mill feed for 2026 planned to come from the Phase 5 pushback and low-grade stockpiles.
Production
In 2025, the mine produced 30.715 million pounds of copper and 37,555 ounces of gold. This compares to 35.700 million pounds of copper and 39,108 ounces of gold in 2024. The production target for 2026 is 19.0-21.0 million pounds of copper and 40,000-44,000 ounces of gold.
Processing
Ore from the open pits and underground is hauled to a crusher. The processing plant uses crushing, grinding and flotation to produce a concentrate. The concentrate is dewatered using thickeners and pressure filters before being stored for transport. Most of the concentrate is trucked to the Port of Vancouver for transport to smelters in Asia.
Equipment
The mine recently purchased two new Komatsu D375A-8 crawler dozers. The fleet also includes other Komatsu equipment such as D375A-6 crawler dozers, PC3000 and PC4000 series mining excavators, D85PX-18 crawler dozers, and PC400 series excavators.

Mine life
12 years
Workforce
The project is estimated to create approximately 500 construction jobs and 400 operations jobs. A 2021 presentation mentioned a total of 456 employees during operations and an average of 280 for construction.
Overview
Past-producing zinc and lead mine (1964-1988), currently in feasibility stage. Study expected Q2 2025. Located on the south shore of Great Slave Lake. A 2022 PEA indicated a 12-year mine life; potential new mine operational by 2028.
Production
The historic mine produced over 10 million tonnes of lead and zinc concentrates between 1965 and 1988. A Preliminary Economic Assessment from 2020 projected an average annual production of 327 million pounds of zinc and 143 million pounds of lead over a 10-year mine life.
Processing
The processing method will involve conventional "Full Milling". This is a change from previous plans that included pre-concentration methods like XRF ore sorting and dense media separation. The new approach is expected to improve the overall recovery of zinc and lead and reduce operational risk. Historically, the Pine Point mine produced high-grade, clean zinc and lead concentrates.
Equipment
The mining fleet is expected to include 100-tonne class trucks, hydraulic shovels, and hydraulic excavators.
Expansion
A potential new mine could be operational by 2028.

Mine life
22 years
Workforce
Approximately 650 people (end of 2024); supports over 1,000 ongoing jobs (January 2026)
Overview
The Mount Milligan Mine is located in the Omenica Mining Division in North Central British Columbia, Canada, approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George. It is an operating conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine.
Production
In 2023, the mine produced 61.9 million pounds of copper and 350,317 ounces of gold. For the full year 2025, the mine produced 147,581 ounces of gold and 50.5 million pounds of copper. In the fourth quarter of 2025, production was 44,105 ounces of gold and 13.0 million pounds of copper.
Processing
Ore is processed through a primary gyratory crusher and a secondary cone crusher, then conveyed to a SAG mill and a ball mill for grinding, creating a slurry. This slurry is piped to flotation cells to float a copper-gold concentrate. A gravity circuit removes coarse gold before the concentrate goes to a thickener and then a pressure filter. Permitted to operate at an average of 60,000 tonnes per day.
Equipment
conventional truck-shovel
Expansion
Received amended environmental assessment and related permits to extend operations to 2035. A Pre-Feasibility Study has outlined a potential mine life extension to 2045. Approvals granted for a 10% expansion in plant throughput, set to begin in 2028.

Overview
The Wheeler River Project is the largest undeveloped uranium project in the eastern Athabasca Basin. It hosts two high-grade uranium deposits: Phoenix and Gryphon. In February 2026, Denison's Board of Directors approved a Final Investment Decision for the construction of the Phoenix deposit, with site preparation and construction scheduled to begin in March 2026. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) issued a licence to prepare the site and construct a mine and mill in February 2026, representing the final regulatory approval needed for construction to commence.
Production
First uranium production from the Phoenix operation is targeted for mid-2028. The project is anticipated to produce an annual average of 9 million pounds of uranium octoxide, with a potential peak production of 12 million pounds per year. Another estimate suggests production could be up to 5,400 tonnes of uranium oxide annually.
Processing
The Phoenix deposit will be mined using the in-situ recovery (ISR) method, the first time this method will be used for a uranium mine in Canada. The Gryphon deposit is subject to a pre-feasibility study for conventional underground mining.
