Overview
Equinox Gold Corp. operates the Mesquite Mine in Imperial County, California, United States. The property is located at approximately Latitude 33° 03' North and Longitude 114° 59' West. The mine is a primary gold producer. It is an open-pit, run-of-mine heap leach operation and is currently active. Equinox Gold holds a 100% interest in the mine through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Western Mesquite Mines, Inc.
Production
85,998 ounces of gold in 2025 (actual), 71,984 ounces in 2024 (actual), 87,753 ounces in 2023 (actual), 123,965 ounces in 2022 (actual), 137,467 ounces in 2021 (actual), and 141,270 ounces in 2020 (actual). The production guidance for 2026 is between 70,000 and 80,000 ounces of gold. Since its commencement in 1986, the mine has produced over five million ounces of gold.
Processing
Processing method involves hauling run-of-mine ore directly to heap leach pads. Gold is recovered from the pregnant solution using a standard carbon-in-column circuit, followed by desorption, recovery circuits, and a refinery. The gold and silver concentrate is heated in an induction furnace to produce gold/silver doré, which is then shipped off-site for further refining. The processing facilities include seven active heap leach pads, process ponds, a carbon-in-column plant, and a gold plant. The gold plant at Mesquite also processes carbon from Equinox Gold's Castle Mountain Mine. Gold recovery rates average approximately 75% for oxide ore and 35% for non-oxide ore, with a 90-day leach cycle.
Equipment
conventional truck and shovel open-pit methods, owner-operated, mobile equipment fleet includes Cat 793F and 789D trucks and loaders.

Overview
The Nelligan project is a large-scale, open-pit gold exploration project located in the Nord-du-Québec region of Québec, Canada. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres southwest of Chibougamau and 45 kilometres south of Chapais. The project is fully owned and operated by IAMGOLD Corporation. The company has consolidated its land position in the Chibougamau district, combining the Nelligan project with the nearby Monster Lake, Philibert, Chevrier, and Croteau projects to form the Nelligan Mining Complex.
Processing
Preliminary metallurgical test work suggests a processing flowsheet incorporating flotation with regrinding could improve gold recovery compared to direct cyanidation of the whole ore. One study indicated a sulphide flotation circuit followed by cyanidation and carbon-in-leach could yield a gold recovery of about 92%. An optimal flow sheet has not yet been selected.
