Overview
The Pani Gold Mine is one of the largest primary gold mines in Indonesia. As of October 2025, the mine's ore reserves were reported at 190.3 million tonnes containing approximately 4.8 million ounces of gold, derived from a mineral resource base of over 7 million ounces of gold.
Production
Initial production for 2026 is targeted at approximately 110,000–115,000 ounces of gold. At its peak, the mine is expected to produce up to 500,000 ounces of gold per year. Initial heap leach facility processing capacity of 8 million tonnes of ore per annum. CIL plant capacity of 12 million tonnes of ore per annum, ultimate processing capacity of 19.0Mtpa.
Processing
Initial phase utilises a heap leach processing method. Run-of-mine ore undergoes a three-stage crushing process, then stacked on a heap leach pad and irrigated with a chemical solution. Pregnant leach solution is processed at an Adsorption, Desorption, and Recovery (ADR) plant to produce doré bullion. Initial heap leach facility has a processing capacity of 8 million tonnes of ore per annum. A Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) facility is under construction, expected to be completed in 2028 with a capacity of 12 million tonnes of ore per annum, bringing ultimate processing capacity to 19.0Mtpa.
Equipment
conventional hydraulic excavators, shovels, and dump trucks
Expansion
A second development phase is underway, which includes the construction of a Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) facility. The CIL plant is expected to be completed in 2028 with a capacity of 12 million tonnes of ore per annum. The addition of the CIL circuit will bring the ultimate processing capacity of the mine to 19.0Mtpa.
