Overview
The quarry is an active, open-cut operation extracting basalt from a Miocene Epoch lava flow. It produces road base and aggregates for the Hervey Bay, Childers, and Maryborough regions.
Production
Environmental approval permits production greater than 100,000 tonnes per year. In 2022, supplied 152,800 tonnes of foamed bitumen pavement material and 55,000 tonnes of asphalt aggregates.
Processing
Extraction, crushing, and screening. The site has two crushing plants, with a mobile crushing plant also used for specific projects.
Equipment
haul/dump trucks, excavators, front-end loaders, crushers, sales loaders, water truck, sweeper. Mobile equipment includes reverse squawkers.
Expansion
An expansion of the quarry has been approved by the Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Overview
The quarry is situated on Coxs Lane, approximately 9 kilometres northeast of Newcastle, on private land behind Stockton Beach. It occupies an area of approximately 246 hectares. The primary commodity extracted is fine sand, which is supplied for use in the building, landscaping, and construction industries in the Hunter and Port Stephens regions, as well as parts of the Sydney market.

Overview
The Seaham Quarry is an operational hard rock quarry. The primary commodities extracted are ignimbrite, a high-strength igneous hard rock, and a smaller resource of rhyolite, which are used for aggregate production. These aggregates are fundamental components for building and construction materials such as concrete and asphalt. The quarry is a key supplier of these materials to the Hunter and Port Stephens regions.
Production
approved production rate is between 500,000 and 2 million tonnes per annum. The average production is between 700,000 to 800,000 tonnes per year, with a current extraction rate of 1.2 million tonnes annually.

Expansion
Boral is proposing the Seaham Quarry Project, which involves a lateral and vertical expansion of the existing quarry. This project aims to increase the extraction area by approximately 30.36 hectares and extend the quarry's operational life by an additional 30 years. The proposal also seeks to increase the annual extraction limit to 2,000,000 tonnes and allow for 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week operations.
