The McArthur River/Key Lake operation comprises the McArthur River mine, the world's largest high-grade uranium mine, and the Key Lake mill, the world's largest uranium mill. The mine is located approximately 620 km north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with the Key Lake mill 80 km south of the mine.

Ore from McArthur River is processed underground into a slurry, then transported to Key Lake mill. At Key Lake, the slurry is blended with lower-grade ore, then undergoes grinding (SAG and ball mills), two-stage sulphuric acid and oxygen leaching, solvent extraction, precipitation, and calcination to produce U3O8 (yellowcake). An ammonium sulphate crystallization circuit is also present.

Overview
The Awak Mas Gold Project is a gold mining development in the Luwu Regency of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, covering an area of 14,390 hectares. The project is owned by PT Masmindo Dwi Area (MDA), a subsidiary of PT Indika Energy. The project is currently in the construction phase. As of late 2025, the project had resources of 2.55 million ounces and reserves of 1.51 million ounces of gold. The mining license is a Contract of Work (CoW) valid until 2050, which can be extended as a Special Mining Business License (IUPK) until 2070.
Production
The targeted annual output is 100,000 ounces of gold. A 2021 Definitive Feasibility Study update projected an average annual gold production of 115,000 ounces for the first five full years of operation.
Processing
The planned processing method is a carbon-in-leach (CIL) technique. Earlier reports detailed a whole of ore leach (WOL) cyanide leaching process with a plant capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum. The ore is planned to undergo primary crushing, followed by grinding in a semi-autogenous (SAG) and ball milling circuit.
Equipment
Initial mining equipment will be deployed from Macmahon's existing fleet. Previous studies specified the use of 90-tonne excavators and 60-tonne articulated dump trucks.
Expansion
Indika Energy is also building a gold refining smelter with an investment of USD 426 million.
