Gold
Mine life
8 years
Overview
The Granite Creek property consists of the operating underground mine and a potential open-pit project that is currently undergoing permitting and technical studies. The underground mine is in the process of ramping up to steady-state production.
Production
The Granite Creek underground mine produced 22,977 ounces of gold in 2025. For the full year 2025, i-80 Gold Corp.'s consolidated production was 31,930 ounces of gold. A preliminary economic assessment for the underground operation outlines average annual production of approximately 60,000 ounces of gold after a ramp-up period.
Processing
Ore from the Granite Creek underground mine is processed by a third party. i-80 Gold is refurbishing its Lone Tree facility to serve as a central processing hub for its underground mines, with completion expected by the end of 2027. The proposed open-pit project would have an on-site carbon-in-leach processing plant.
Equipment
The underground mine's equipment includes an Eimco 975 ANFO truck with a boom, a manbasket and ANFO pot, a Sandvik D05 single boom jumbo, an Epiroc 282 and an Epiroc M2C double boom jumbo, three SandvikDS310, Robolt 5, and D05 mechanized bolters with screen handlers, and a Sandvik T6 4-cubic-yard LHD.
Expansion
A feasibility study for the underground mine is anticipated to be finished late in the first quarter of 2026, with the results to be published in the second quarter of 2026. The company is actively exploring to expand the mineral resources.

Equipment
Mining operations at the El Limon Complex utilize conventional open-pit methods at the Limon Central open-pit. The Santa Pancha, Panteon, and Veta Nueva underground mines employ longitudinal sublevel stoping and modified Avoca mining methods.
Expansion
Equinox Gold acquired the El Limon mine through its business combination with Calibre Mining Corp., which was completed on June 17, 2025. A 100,000-meter discovery and resource expansion diamond drilling program was planned for El Limon in 2025, with initial results showing high-grade gold mineralization. There is a focus on resource expansion at the VTEM Gold Corridor and the past-producing Talavera underground mine. As of 2024, the El Limon Complex consisted of three underground mines (Santa Pancha 1, Panteón, and Atravesada) and three open-pit mines (Limón Norte, Pozo Bono/Sur, and Tigra).

Workforce
As of August 2020, the Don Nicolas Project had 365 people, consisting of 301 employees and 64 contractors. Approximately 73% of the employees are from Santa Cruz.
Production
The 2025 production guidance from the operator is 50,000 to 55,000 gold equivalent ounces. A Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for Don Nicolas estimated an average annual production of approximately 56,000 gold equivalent ounces. Since Cerrado Gold's acquisition in April 2020 through year-end 2024, the mine has produced over 200,000 cumulative gold equivalent ounces.
