The Kalpini Hub is a collective name for a series of projects including the Kalpini and Bulong Nickel Projects, the Emu Lake nickel sulphide project, and the Yerilla Hub (Jump Up Dam, Boyce Creek and Aubils projects). It is focused on nickel and cobalt, with identified occurrences of scandium and Rare Earth Elements (REE). The resources are found in shallow, flat-lying nickel laterite deposits on ultramafic komatiite rocks.

Processing
Metallurgical test work on the Big Four gold mineralisation indicated very high recoveries of nearly 98% are achievable using standard gravity-leach processing methods. The nickel-cobalt ore from the broader Goongarrie Hub, including Big Four, is planned to be processed at a proposed central facility using High-Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) technology.

Expansion
The Goongarrie Hub is being developed through an incorporated joint venture, Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd (KNPL). Ardea Resources holds an 82.5% interest in the joint venture. A Japanese consortium, comprising Sumitomo Metal Mining and Mitsubishi Corporation, has the right to earn up to a 50% interest and had earned a 17.5% stake as of July 2025. The first decade of the mine plan will focus on the higher-grade goethite deposits at Goongarrie South, Big Four, and Scotia Dam.

Stonyfell Quarry, located in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges east of Adelaide, South Australia, is one of Adelaide's oldest quarries, operating since 1837. Boral Limited acquired the site in the 1980s. The quarry extracts sandstone and quartzite to produce road base, aggregates, crushed rock, washed sands for concrete manufacturing, fill materials, and specialty rocks. It also recycles concrete and is considered a significant state resource with at least 100 years of available materials.
