Overview
The Casa Berardi mine is located 95 kilometres north of La Sarre, Quebec. On March 25, 2026, Orezone Gold Corporation completed its acquisition of Hecla Quebec Inc., a subsidiary of Hecla Mining Company, thereby acquiring a 100% interest in the Casa Berardi mine. The mine, which began commercial operations in 1988, operates as both an underground and open-pit mine. The lower-margin east mine underground operations were closed in July 2023, with underground mining since then focused on the higher-margin stopes of the west mine. Plans were revised to extend this underground mining throughout 2025. Since its opening, the mine has produced over 3.2 million ounces of gold. Orezone plans to integrate the Casa Berardi operations through 2026 and intends to publish an updated mine plan and economic study in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Production
Production overview - 2023: gold 90363 oz, silver 22415 oz.
Processing
The Casa Berardi mill has a throughput of 1.4 million tonnes per annum. The metallurgical recovery rate for gold was 85% in 2023, 85% in 2024, and 87% in 2025.
Expansion
Orezone has initiated studies to evaluate the optimisation of the current mine plan and a potential increase in underground production. The company also plans to start a multi-year exploration drill program of 80,000 to 100,000 metres annually, targeting high-grade extensions and near-mine mineralisation.

Overview
The San Juan Silver project is a high-impact development project located in the Creede Mining District, which is one of Colorado's most prolific silver districts. Hecla Mining Company has consolidated the entire 21-square-mile district under single ownership for the first time. The project's focus is on the Bulldog Mine area, which has historical production of 25 million ounces of silver between 1969 and 1985. Hecla is strategically advancing the project to access underground infrastructure for resource confirmation and expansion. The company's 2025 exploration program includes a desktop review of San Juan Silver, with a comprehensive exploration program planned for 2026. The project is part of Hecla's exploration portfolio, which is focused on expanding the company's resource base through systematic, data-driven discovery. In its 2025 10-K report, Hecla noted that the San Juan Silver project has 7 Notice-of-Intent areas for exploration and a Mining Plan of Operations with the US Forest Service.

Overview
The Republic project, situated in Washington state, is a past-producing asset held by Hecla Mining Company for exploration and potential future development. The company classifies the project as an emerging opportunity within its North American exploration portfolio. The Republic Mining District is recognized as the most significant historical gold producer in Washington. Hecla's previous operations at the site, which included the Knob Hill Mine and the Golden Promise shaft, ceased in 1995. The company continues to manage and treat mine water at the site long-term. Recent exploration efforts have yielded multiple high-grade gold intercepts, which the company believes confirm the potential for both underground and bulk-tonnage discoveries. Hecla has allocated 1% of its exploration budget to the Republic project. The project encompasses 3,583 acres, covering all major productive trends.
Processing
The historical milling process at the Republic mine involved crushing, flotation, cyanide vat leaching, and gold recovery.

Overview
The Greens Creek mine is one of the world's largest primary silver mines, located on Admiralty Island in southeast Alaska. It is an underground operation containing silver, zinc, gold, and lead within the Admiralty Island National Monument. The site is accessed by sea and consists of the mine, an ore concentrating mill, a dry stacked tailings facility, a ship-loading facility, camp facilities, and a ferry dock. The mine operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Production
Production overview - 2025: silver 8700000 oz, gold 59349 oz, lead 18200 t, zinc 51300 t; 2023: silver 9700000 oz, gold 60900 oz, lead 19600 t, zinc 51500 t.
Processing
The on-site concentrating mill processes approximately 2,300 tons of ore per day using flotation and gravity processes to produce concentrates of silver, gold, lead, and zinc. In 2025, actual metallurgical recoveries were 79.3% for silver, 74% for gold, 82.6% for lead, and 88.8% for zinc. In 2024, 46% of the tailings were reused as backfill in the underground mine. The company is evaluating a pyrite concentrate circuit to improve silver and gold recoveries.
Equipment
The primary mining methods are cut-and-fill and longhole stoping.
Expansion
In January 2026, the U.S. Forest Service approved a five-year surface exploration project to potentially increase the mine's reserve base and extend its life. Hecla is also evaluating a tailings reprocessing project to recover minerals from historical waste streams. An update on this project is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. As of 31 December 2025, proven and probable reserves were 103.7 million ounces of silver, 865 ounces of gold, 240,670 tons of lead, and 646,010 tons of zinc.

The mining fleet includes Sandvik trucks (nine TH663i and three TH663), LHDs (seven LH621i and one LH621), four Sandvik DL421 production drills, three Sandvik DD421 development rigs, and a Rhino 100HM boxhole borer.
Expansion
The mine has expanded through the development of the Lode 1 orebody, located less than one kilometre from the existing lode. The extension development, which included extensive underground capital development, major upgrades to ventilation, and paste plant facilities, was completed in 2024. Stoping at Lode 1 began in the third quarter of 2023. In January 2023, Barrick and Ma'aden signed new joint venture agreements for two exploration projects, Jabal Sayid South and Umm Ad Damar, which are near the Jabal Sayid mine. Ongoing exploration around Jabal Sayid and Umm Ad Damar has identified several prospective corridors, with a focus on untested depth potential for 2025.
