Platinum Mile is a tailings retreatment facility located in the North West Province of South Africa. The plan is to increase the chrome plant's production to 120,000 tonnes per year.

The Mimosa Operation is a shallow, mechanised underground mine located in Zimbabwe, situated on the Wedza Geological Complex of the Zimbabwean Great Dyke, 32 kilometres west of Zvishavane. It is a 50/50 joint venture between Sibanye-Stillwater and Impala Platinum.

Overview
The Marikana Operation, which includes Western Platinum Limited and Eastern Platinum Limited, is an active mining complex located in the Marikana district, 40 kilometres east of Rustenburg in the North West province of South Africa. The primary commodities produced are Platinum Group Metals (PGMs), including platinum, palladium, rhodium, and gold (referred to as 4E PGM), as well as iridium, ruthenium, nickel, copper, and chrome. The mine is a large, established, shallow to moderate depth PGM complex.
Production
679,245 ounces of 4E PGM for the year ending 31 December 2024; combined fresh ore milling capacity of approximately 600,000 tonnes per month.
Processing
Ore mined at Marikana is processed through four of the eight available concentrators, which have a combined fresh ore milling capacity of approximately 600,000 tonnes per month. The resulting concentrate is sent to the on-site smelter, which has five furnaces, to produce a sulphide-rich matte. This matte undergoes further processing at the Base Metal Refinery (BMR) where nickel and copper are extracted. The final PGM-rich product is then sent to the Precious Metal Refinery (PMR) in Brakpan for final treatment to produce refined precious metals.

Kroondal Operation is a shallow, low-cost, mechanised underground mine. It is located on the Western Limb of the Bushveld Complex, 12 kilometres east of Rustenburg in the North West Province of South Africa, approximately 120 kilometres north-west of Johannesburg.

In 2024, the Kroondal Operation produced 280,556 ounces of 4E PGMs. The K1 plant has a design capacity of 290,000 tonnes per month, and the K2 plant has a design capacity of 300,000 tonnes per month.

The Stillwater Mine is an underground mining operation located near the town of Nye in Stillwater County, Montana, in the United States. It targets the J-M Reef, a significant source of platinum group metals (PGMs) in the United States.
Production
For the year 2023, the Stillwater mine was expected to produce between 260-300 thousand ounces of 2E PGM (platinum and palladium) in concentrate. The production target for the entire US PGM operations as of 31 December 2024, is 425,842 ounces of 2E PGM.
Processing
Ore processing occurs on-site at a concentrator plant. The process involves milling and treating the ore to produce a concentrate. This concentrate is then transported to the company's Columbus Metallurgical Complex in Columbus, Montana, for smelting and refining into a PGM-rich filter cake.

Processing
The processing method for Phase 1 is a run-of-mine heap leach operation. The Phase 2 processing infrastructure will include a two-stage crushing facility, conveyors, a ball mill circuit, gravity concentration, and leach and CIL tanks. Equinox Gold Corp. operates the Mesquite Mine in Imperial County, California, United States. The property is located at approximately Latitude 33° 03' North and Longitude 114° 59' West. The mine is a primary gold producer. It is an open-pit, run-of-mine heap leach operation and is currently active. Equinox Gold holds a 100% interest in the mine through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Western Mesquite Mines, Inc.

85,998 ounces of gold in 2025 (actual), 71,984 ounces in 2024 (actual), 87,753 ounces in 2023 (actual), 123,965 ounces in 2022 (actual), 137,467 ounces in 2021 (actual), and 141,270 ounces in 2020 (actual). The production guidance for 2026 is between 70,000 and 80,000 ounces of gold. Since its commencement in 1986, the mine has produced over five million ounces of gold.
Processing
Processing method involves hauling run-of-mine ore directly to heap leach pads. Gold is recovered from the pregnant solution using a standard carbon-in-column circuit, followed by desorption, recovery circuits, and a refinery. The gold and silver concentrate is heated in an induction furnace to produce gold/silver doré, which is then shipped off-site for further refining. The processing facilities include seven active heap leach pads, process ponds, a carbon-in-column plant, and a gold plant. The gold plant at Mesquite also processes carbon from Equinox Gold's Castle Mountain Mine. Gold recovery rates average approximately 75% for oxide ore and 35% for non-oxide ore, with a 90-day leach cycle.

The Gosselin Zone is a gold deposit located in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, in northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Côté Gold Project, a joint venture between IAMGOLD Corporation (70%) and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (30%).
Processing
Ore from the Gosselin Zone is expected to be processed using the same facilities as the Côté Gold Mine. The processing plant at Côté Gold has a nameplate capacity of 36,000 tonnes per day. The plant is equipped with Canada's largest high-pressure grinding roller (HPGR) and the market's largest vertical grinding mills. The processes are described as automated and modern.

The mining fleet at Côté Gold is technologically advanced, featuring autonomous haul trucks and drills. The fleet includes 23 CAT 793F autonomous haul trucks and six Epiroc Pit Viper autonomous drills.

The Essakane Gold Mine is located in north-eastern Burkina Faso, approximately 330 kilometres north-east of the capital, Ouagadougou. It is situated at the boundary of the Oudalan and Séno provinces in the Sahel region. The primary commodity is gold. Essakane is an active, in-production open-pit mine.
Production
For the full year 2024, Essakane's attributable gold production was 409,000 ounces, with a total production of 454,000 ounces on a 100% basis. In 2025, the mine produced 117,300 attributable ounces in the fourth quarter, contributing to a full-year attributable total of 372,100 ounces.
Processing
Conventional Crush-Grind-Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) system. Ore undergoes two stages of crushing, semi-autogenous grinding (SAG), ball mill grinding, and pebble crusher grinding, followed by gravity concentration and the CIL circuit. The processing plant has a throughput capacity of 13.05 million tonnes per annum, achieved by blending softer saprolite and transition ore with hard rock. The mine's power is supplied by Africa's largest engine-solar PV hybrid power plant, which includes a 55 MW heavy fuel oil plant and a 15 MWp solar facility.
