The Batopilas project is an exploration property situated in the historic Batopilas Silver Mining District in southwestern Chihuahua. The district was a significant silver-producing centre from the 18th to the early 20th centuries, famous for its high-grade native silver ore. Large-scale mining operations ceased by the mid-20th century. The property covers approximately 3,550 hectares.
Expansion
As of August 2025, Torex Gold considers the project to be at the 'Intermediate Drill Testing stage'. Exploration and drilling by previous operators have identified a mix of silver and gold veins across several zones. For the remainder of 2025, Torex Gold planned an initial investment of US$500,000 to define drilling targets through activities like regional geochemical and geophysical work.

Overview
The Media Luna Project was approved by the Torex Gold Resources Inc. board of directors in March 2022. Construction is complete, with the first copper concentrate produced in the first quarter of 2025 and commercial production achieved in May 2025. The project is part of the Morelos Complex and is located seven kilometres from the El Limón Guajes (ELG) mine, on the south side of the Balsas River. The mine is ramping up to a steady-state production of 7,500 tonnes per day, which is expected to be achieved by mid-2026. The life of the mine is expected to run until at least 2033.

Processing
Ore from the Media Luna mine is processed at the upgraded ELG processing plant. The plant has copper and iron sulfide flotation circuits to improve copper and silver recoveries.
Expansion
Torex Gold is actively exploring near-mine opportunities within the "Media Luna Cluster". Drilling at Media Luna West, located near the main Media Luna deposit, has defined a mineralised footprint of 400 by 300 metres. An inaugural Inferred Resource for Media Luna West was expected with the annual mineral reserves and resources update in March 2026. The company plans to continue drilling at Media Luna West in 2026 to expand the resource and upgrade it from the Inferred to the Indicated category. First production at Media Luna North (formerly EPO) is on track for late 2026.

In 2022, the permanent workforce increased by almost 10% and the contractor workforce by nearly 40% due to the increased activity related to the Media Luna project.
Overview
The El Limón Guajes (ELG) Mine Complex, wholly owned by Torex Gold Resources Inc., is an operating open-pit and underground mine in Guerrero, Mexico, part of the larger 29,000-hectare Morelos Complex. Commercial production began April 1, 2016. Open-pit operations are phasing out, with future focus on underground mining, including the ELG Underground and Media Luna mines. Mine life is expected through at least 2035. The complex produces gold, silver, and copper.

Processing
The processing plant has a nameplate capacity of 10,600 tonnes per day. It was recently upgraded with copper and iron-sulphide flotation circuits to process ore from the Media Luna and Media Luna North projects. The primary products are a precious metal-rich copper concentrate and gold-silver doré. Ore from the Media Luna deposit is transported to the processing plant through a seven-kilometre-long tunnel equipped with a conveyor system.
Equipment
The Morelos Complex utilizes a mix of battery-electric and conventional diesel equipment. The BEV fleet includes 11 Toro™ LH518iB loaders and four Sandvik DD422iE jumbos. The conventional fleet includes loaders, trucks, bolters, production drills, and a raiseborer.

Processing
The mine's ore concentrating mill processes approximately 2,300 tons of ore per day using cut-and-fill and longhole stoping mining methods. The process involves flotation and gravity circuits to recover silver, gold, lead, and zinc. In 2025, 54% of the mill tailings were reused as backfill in the underground mine. A project to add a pyrite concentrate circuit, which could boost silver and gold recoveries, is being evaluated, with an update expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
Expansion
In January 2026, the U.S. Forest Service approved a five-year plan of operations for the Greens Creek Surface Exploration Project, which aims to increase the reserve base and extend the mine's life. The company is also assessing a tailings reprocessing project; as of the end of 2025, the tailings facility held an estimated 10.4 million tons of tailings containing an estimated 50 million ounces of silver and nearly 600,000 ounces of gold. Hecla plans to nearly double its company-wide investment in exploration in 2026 compared to 2025.

The Washington State Department of Ecology lists the site, referred to as the Hecla Knob Hill Mine, as "Awaiting Cleanup". Hecla is continuing long-term mine water management and treatment activities at the site. Production at the mine, which was acquired by Hecla in 1981, ceased in 1995.
