Overview
PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) is a bituminous thermal coal mine located in the Kapuas and Murung Raya Regencies of Central Kalimantan, approximately 50 kilometres west of Muara Teweh, near the village of Barunang. It operates under a third-generation Coal Contract of Work (PKP2B) signed on 31 May 1999.
Production
In 2019, coal production reached approximately 5 million tons, with sales of 4.6 million tons. In 2022, PT Asmin Bara Bronang produced 6 million tons of coal. The company is targeting total annual coal sales of 15 million tons by 2026, with ABB expected to contribute 55-60% of this target.

The Nueva Rosita complex, owned by Southern Copper Corporation, is located in the state of Coahuila, Mexico, near the city of Nueva Rosita. The facility, which began operations in 1924, has ceased all production activities and is now in a state of closure and remediation.

The open-pit mine had an annual production capacity of approximately 350,000 tonnes of coal. In its final years of operation, the open-pit mine produced 108,600 tonnes of coal in 2018 and 52,700 tonnes in 2019. Clean coal production was 42,800 tonnes in 2018 and 25,200 tonnes in 2019. The coke plant's last reported production was 45,400 tonnes in 2017.

The Jax Mine is an open-cut coal mine operated by QCoal Group. It is located 15 kilometres south of Collinsville in the Bowen Basin, Queensland, Australia. The mine is part of QCoal's integrated Northern Hub, which also includes the Sonoma, Cows, and Drake mines.
Production
The mine has the capacity to produce up to 1.8 million tonnes of coal annually. In 2019, production from the Jax Mine included 212,775 tonnes of hard coking coal and 344,919 tonnes of thermal coal. The mining lease allows for the extraction of up to 3.0 million tonnes per year of run-of-mine coal from the Moranbah and Fort Cooper coal measures.
Processing
All coal extracted from the Jax Mine is processed through the QCoal Northern Hub's infrastructure facility, which includes a coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP).
Expansion
QCoal has sought to amend the environmental approval for the Jax Mine to expand its footprint by 500 hectares. This proposed expansion of the life-of-mine disturbance area is intended to accommodate a revised mine plan based on updated resource models.
