PT Multi Tambangjaya Utama (MUTU) is an operational coal mine located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The concession area covers 24,970 hectares across the South Barito, East Barito, and North Barito regencies. The mine is owned by PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk, which completed the acquisition of 100% of MUTU's shares on 26 February 2024. The primary commodities are high-calorific thermal coal and bituminous metallurgical (coking) coal. The mine operates under a 3rd generation Coal Contract of Work (CCoW), which is valid until 2039.

Overview
The Springvale Mine, operated by Centennial Coal Company Limited, is an active underground thermal coal mine in New South Wales, Australia. It is a significant supplier to the Mount Piper Power Station and also serves international markets. The mine uses longwall mining methods and has a workforce of approximately 400 people.
Production
The Springvale Mine Extension Project allows for the extraction of approximately 4.5 million tonnes of run-of-mine coal per year.
Processing
Coal from Springvale is processed at the Western Coal Services facility, located about 8 kilometres from the mine. It is then transferred to the Mount Piper Power Station or to the Lidsdale Siding for export. The operation also includes the Springvale Water Treatment Facility, which treats dewatering water for reuse at the power station.
Expansion
The Springvale Mine Extension Project, which includes the government-approved Modification 5 for time extension and additional mining, allows for the extraction of approximately 4.5 million tonnes of run-of-mine coal per year from the Lithgow Coal Seam through new underground longwall operations. Exploration for the Springvale West Project Area commenced in 2023 to further define coal resources.

The Awaba mine, also referred to as Awaba Colliery, is located in New South Wales, Australia, approximately 1 kilometre from the Awaba township and 5 kilometres south-west of Toronto, on the western side of Lake Macquarie. The mine is in the Lake Macquarie City local government area. The commodity produced was thermal coal. Owned and operated by Centennial Coal Company Limited, the mine is currently in "Project Care and Maintenance". Production operations ceased in March 2012 due to the exhaustion of coal reserves, after continuous operation for over 60 years.
Production
In its last full year of operation in 2011, the mine extracted 0.9 million tonnes of coal. Over its lifespan, it produced more than 35 million tonnes of coal. A 2010 project proposal sought approval to produce up to 880,000 tonnes of Run of Mine coal per annum.

Overview
The Springvale mine, also referred to as Springvale Colliery, is an active underground coal mine located approximately 15 kilometres northwest of Lithgow in the Western Coalfields of New South Wales. It extracts thermal coal for domestic and international markets, including the Mount Piper Power Station.
Production
Current consent allows for 5.5 million tonnes of run-of-mine (ROM) coal per year until 2028. In 2011, the mine produced three million tonnes of coal.
Processing
Run-of-mine coal is transported via conveyor, screened and crushed at the pit top (sizers reduce coal to less than 50 mm), then transported to Mount Piper and Wallerawang Power Stations or to the Western Coal Services site for further processing. The Western Coal Services facility features a coal preparation plant with a processing capacity of 300 tonnes per hour.

Mine No. 7 is an underground longwall mine in Jefferson and Tuscaloosa Counties, Alabama, producing premium low-volatile hard coking coal. It is one of the deepest vertical shaft coal mines in North America, with operations between 1,400 and 2,100 feet underground, extracting coal from the Blue Creek coal seam. As of 31 December 2023, it had approximately 51.1 million short tons of recoverable reserves.
Production
Combined production from Mine No. 4 and Mine No. 7 was 7.6 million short tons in 2023 and 8.2 million short tons in 2024. Combined production from Mine No. 7, Mine No. 4, and the new Blue Creek mine reached 9.3 million metric tons in 2025.
Processing
Run-of-mine coal is transported to the surface via a skip system to the preparation plant. The Mine No. 7 preparation plant services the mine and also utilizes the No. 5 preparation plant via an overland conveyor. A dry-slurry system was being installed to reduce water usage.
